Get a termite inspection at least once a year. (Many companies offer free termite inspections but you should understand that the majority of the time these are simply viewed as sales leads and what you are told may not be honest)
The best option would be to order an official WDI Report for your home once a year. This inspection is NOT a sales tool. By law it must be accurate and honest. When a Pest Control company issues one of these reports they can be found liable for inaccuracies or falsely reporting the existence of termites.
